🎵🔊 Sound Up Music is "Deborah's Theme" by Ennio Morricone. Video reposted from @seedingsovereignty **Please note than when the video & text shows MMIW, it is meant to include girls and Two-Spirit persons.🙏 When a mother, daughter, sister or Two Spirit person goes missing, Native communities understand that action is needed immediately. Thankfully the silence of the past is being replaced with the understanding of an urgency to act—alerting tribal leadership, reporting to law enforcement, and demanding a “yes crisis-mode response” rather than the disinterested "no action response" of the past.  Congress in it's 2009 Apology to Native Peoples said, “years of official depredations, ill-conceived policies,” and apologized for the “many instances of violence, maltreatment & neglect inflicted on Native Peoples by citizens of the United States.” The crisis of MMIW is like two sides of a coin: Official and effective government laws and policies representing one side; tolerance and inaction on the other. The movement for justice for MMIW challenges this very system that has allowed this terrible crisis. We insist on change. The tribal press conferences, community searches, and justice marches taking place across the continent reflect the emergence of a new standard—holding the government accountable for the criminals who are allowed to prey on Native women, girls and Two-Spirit. Increased educational/awareness actions are needed: Organize conferences, community runs, and public art displays. Produce songs, videos, and films. Wear red and explain to those around you (in fact to the world) why we wear red. The list of actions taking place is long, and it is as varied as the people who are taking action. While large organized actions are essential, individual actions provide a social statement of the depth of MMIW. These actions relay to the world the reality that MMIW touches all Nations and the peoples of which they are comprised. In making these personal statements, the loved one is honored, and we hope the family and community are supported. Everyone is encouraged to participate during the week of May 1st-7th.🙏 #mmiw #mmiw2s #whywewearred #may5th #twos

Trying to identify unhealthy patterns in #enneagram #Twos can be tricky, but God is always ready to meet us where we are and help us work through our deep-rooted needs. This clip was taken from @amie.patrick in an interview on the Gospel For Enneagram Summit (www.tylerzach.com/summit).

Your spirit is infectious sweet brave girl. I love your independence, boldness, & giggles most. I strive to raise you to be a good human who values a servants heart over a selfish one. This world owes you nothing but if you work hard, be kind, and love Jesus I promise it will be a full life. 🤍 Grateful for the reminders of how fun life can be through the eyes of a child. . . . . . . . #thisis2 #toddlerlife #twos #littlegirls #daughters #destinflorida #florida
