I’m breaking down every single page you need, what to include, what to leave out, and how to structure it so that when a brand lands on your page they immediately want to work with you. Because a strong pitch means nothing if the portfolio it’s attached to isn’t doing its job. My portfolio has come a LONG way from the start. Huge props to @tran.ugc for giving me tips when I first started. She’s AMAZING youguys!! A few things that most people skip: 🤍 Why you need a website and not a presentation
🤍 What to put on your landing page so brands can contact you in literally one click
🤍 How to label your UGC examples
🤍 What to do if you haven’t worked with any paid brands yet
🤍 The one thing you should never include in your portfolio that could be costing you money without you realizing it Building a portfolio that actually converts is one of the first things I teach in my UGC Starter Guide, along with everything else you need to go from zero to your first paid brand deal. Comment “LEARN” below and I’ll send it straight to your DMs. ⬇️🤍 #ugccreator #ugcportfolio #ugcforbeginners #branddeals #howtostartugc ——— how to build a UGC portfolio, UGC portfolio for beginners, how to get brand deals, UGC creator portfolio, UGC for beginners, UGC tips, how to start UGC, UGC portfolio mistakes, how to land brand deals as a UGC creator
This is the exact portfolio structure I use to book brand deals every month. I've worked with over 100 brands including Walmart, Canva, L'Oréal, and Charlotte Tilbury. This is what they see before they hire me. You don't need a fancy website. You don't need 50 videos. You need a clean, professional portfolio that answers every question a brand has before they ask it. Who are you. What do you create. Who have you worked with. How does it work. What do you charge. That's it. I put together the exact template I use so you can build yours this week. 5 Things You Need to Know Starting UGC - what I’ve learned! #ugcforbeginners #ugccreator #contentcreatortips #ugcjourney #ugctips
August income recap: $7,425 from UGC alone 🤍🥹 I’ll be honest, I set my goal at $8K and didn’t quite get there… and I’m sharing it anyway because I think that’s actually the more important part. This is part-time. This is around getting my kids where they need to go, being present for my family, and never letting this take over more than it’s supposed to. I never want to build something that costs me time with the people it’s supposed to be for. If I can build this around a full, busy life, so can you ✨ I’m not sharing this to impress anyone… I’m sharing it because I want to see other women win, whatever that looks like for you and your family. If you’re curious about UGC or want to talk it through, I’m a DM away 🫶🏼 . . . 🏷️ ugc creator, ugc video example, mom ugc, STL content creator, wellness ugc, how to start ugc, ugc rates #ugccreator #ugccommunity #ugctipsandtricks #ugcforbeginners
I wish someone told me when I first started UGC… Brands aren’t watching all your videos on your portfolio. They’re watching video #1, maybe #2, then deciding. If your strongest video (the one that shows your range, your energy, your ability to sell) is sitting in slot 4 because that’s just when you uploaded it... you’re losing deals before they even get there. This literally takes 5 minutes to fix so if you’re watching this, go and optimise the order of the videos in your portfolio🫶🏻 💗 Follow @ugcwithlucille for daily UGC tips & inspo! #ugccommunity #ugcforbeginners #ugccreator ugcjourney ugctips
DAY 1: Set up your creator accounts - Open UGC-specific accounts on Instagram/TikTok - Add a clear profile photo - Write a simple UGC bio (who you are, what you do) - Add your UGC email for brands (highly recommend making a new email just for business, you’ll thank yourself later) DAY 2: Film 3 UGC examples How? Choose 3 products you already own and love, and film the following video styles: 1. Talking-to-Camera Testimonial (this is the most in demand content in 2026, also shows brands you are comfortable talking on camera) 2. Product Demo (Hands + Product Shots) 3. Lifestyle / Day-in-the-Life Video (shows brands you can make their product feel natural in real life) - Try choosing products from different niches to show variety and skill example: 1 skincare product, 1 appliance, 1 app DAY 3: Film your UGC intro video Most UGC platforms require this and brands use it to quickly learn who you are and why they should work with you. Keep it under 30 seconds! In your video say: • your name • your age • your location • your experience or interests Focus on how you can help brands, not just about yourself. Structure: Intro → What you can do → Call to action Tip: Add short overlay clips (10-15 sec) showing your content skills DAY 4: Apply to UGC platforms Upload your Intro video and sample videos Good beginner platforms include: • Kale • Bento • JoinBrands - This is where brands find creators. Apply to as many as you can. DAY 5: Post on your UGC socials Start posting your: • UGC examples • Practice videos • Your creator journey Example posts: “Day 1 of becoming a UGC creator” “My first UG practice video” This helps with visibility, showing brands different perspectives you offer and gives you more practice and confidence! How to build a UGC portfolio when you’re starting from scratch ↓ Your UGC portfolio is what helps brands decide whether you can create content for them, regardless of how many followers you have. If I were starting UGC today, I’d choose two content niches, such as beauty and fitness, then create four sample UGC videos for each one. That gives you eight portfolio examples without needing to wait for your first brand deal. Use products you already own and genuinely enjoy. Your sample videos could include: • A product demonstration • A problem-and-solution video • A testimonial or review • An aesthetic product video Brands want to see that you can speak naturally on camera, film high-quality content and create videos that feel native to social media. Your first UGC portfolio doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to show what you can create. Save this if you’re learning how to become a UGC creator, and follow along as I build my portfolio and start landing paid brand deals 🤍 #UGCPortfolio #UGCCreator #UGCTips #UGCForBeginners #brandcollaboration
So remember when I said I was going to actually try this UGC thing and half of you were like “girl what even is that.” Well, update: my first full month I contracted $2,950. And I did that while going out of town not once but twice totaling over 2 weeks, planning two different birthday parties, and surviving back to school chaos all in the same month. I did not have a course, I just started emailing brands like a slightly unhinged person who refused to hear no. I keep seeing people wait for the “right time” to start something like this, and there isn’t one, you just send the first pitch even when you’re pretty sure they’ll ignore you. Spoiler, they don’t always. Ask me anything in the comments, I will absolutely overshare #UGCcreator #UGCforbeginners #contentcreatorincome #howtostartUGC #momswhohustle UGC creator income, how much UGC creators make, first month UGC results, UGC for beginners, stay at home mom side income, how to start UGC, brand deal income

I’ve had beginner creators ask me a lot and honestly there is no right time as to when you should start charging but you can use the below as some guideline to help you feel more confident! 1. You’re getting gifted requests from real brands Not just small businesses offering free product for posts but recognisable brands reaching out wanting to work with you even on a gifted basis. That’s the market validating your work. When brands are coming to you gifted, paid is the natural next conversation. 2. You can deliver consistently and not just occasionally. Are you able to replicate that quality across different products, briefs and categories? Consistency doesn’t mean everything looks the same. It means your standard and creative thinking stay high regardless of what you’re filming. True consistency comes from knowing yourself so well that your style naturally adapts to fit any brief without losing what makes your content distinctly yours. Brands are paying for reliability as much as talent. 3. You can back yourself and your portfolio without hesitation. You have work you’re genuinely proud of. And beyond the portfolio, you can state your rate clearly, hold your value and walk away from deals that don’t respect it. Knowing when to walk away isn’t arrogance. It’s knowing your worth. Brands feel hesitation and hesitation makes them question your value before they’ve even seen your work. A lot of creators are technically ready long before they believe they are.
