Reposting from @laylaalizada. This isn’t a usual Valentine’s Day post. Today I want to honor the unconditional love we get to experience with the furry beings that enrich our lives. Our little Sushi passed away. It’s been too painful to share until now. She was a gangster who overcame 3 different kinds of cancer over the course of 3.5 years. Our hearts are still broken but the gifts she left behind are so much greater. Thank you for giving us these last few years and showing us how to play and enjoy life no matter what’s going on. Thank you for always making us laugh, for the purrs, the cuddles and for being such a bright light, reminding us to always come back to love. I strive to be more like you. You made us believe in miracles when you came back after going missing for over 3 months in Hollywood. That still blows my mind. We miss you terribly but are beyond grateful to have shared this life with you. You are in our hearts forevermore. Happy Valentine’s Day to Sushi and all the furry friends out there.
