MEET THE VOICE OF GOOFY‼️
If you are a huge fan of Disney, then this is one of your favorites. This is Bill Farmer @goofybill , a veteran voice over talent and Disney legend. His class was an incredible discovery. He highlighted the need to prioritize shamelessness and goofiness when executing animation voice over work.
Bill has been voicing GOOFY since 1987 after he trained rigorously with Daws Butler. He has been the voice of this character consistently for 36 years. While listening to him, he mentioned people usually asked when he planned to retire from #voiceovers .
His answer was simply “until I can’t use my voice anymore” . For him, this work is till the end. What an attitude of dedication!!
Dear #voiceovertalents, this our type of art is different. It is for the long haul if you truly want to enjoy the benefits that come with this terrain. Take it easy, invest in yourself and focus. Bill, born 1952 is about 70 years of age and is still on fire as you can hear from his voice.
With the way animation #voiceover work is spreading to Africa, it is evident that some young talents will have their lives changed forever especially with the retainership structures and earning of royalties.
The future is filled with loads of possibilities.

I had such a wonderful experience at VO ATLANTA! Another year in the books. I’m a newbie in this business and knowledge I learned is immeasurable. So, yeah. I updated my website again. Not mad about it. Come along for a quick tour of the main page! VO Atlanta 2026… sigh - what a truly amazing conference it was.
Every single year, I leave thinking, there’s no way it could possibly get better than this… and somehow, it always does.
What fills my heart the most is the PEOPLE. Truly, it’s always about the people. Seeing students and colleagues, spending real face-to-face time, sharing laughs, hugs, conversations, and those little moments of connection that are just so special—it’s everything!
It seriously felt like it was over almost as soon as it started. That’s how you know it was good:)
I love this community so much, and I love being able to serve it, support it, and grow alongside it year after year.
Here’s to many more conferences, many more beautiful friendships, and many more years with this incredible VO family.
