🫐 Picking blueberries is simple! Find berries that are blue all the way around! Blueberries do not continue to ripen after they’re picked, so if you see berries that are still red or green, leave them on the bush for another visit.
Using your thumb, simply roll the berry off the stem and right into your palm. A ripe blueberry should come off easily—no pulling or tugging needed!

📖 STORYTIME: The year was 2012 when I first visited this part of CT to meet my then boyfriend’s family and friends. He had a film screening in the neighborhood Saturday and there was a childhood friend’s birthday Friday night. It was at @JTimothys and while everyone was super nice these wings and I just clicked 😍. That boyfriend is now my husband and I’m jealous that he grew up with these 😂. We went back recently and took our Izzy with us. Their Original Buffalo Dirt Wings are a bit too much heat for her now but one day she might love em’ like her parents too. These are seriously the BEST wings I’ve ever had. One of my favorite parks in Connecticut is Southford Falls State Park in Southbury.
This is the only park in the state that has a gorgeous waterfall and gorges, a covered bridge AND a fire tower!
You can hie here, fish, picnic or simply enjoy the beauty of nature.
It's never crowded here as so many local people aren't even aware it's here!
