Research released today by Bieke Biotechnology found Stay-at-home parents with one child spend 155.5 hours on parental and household tasks per month. This rises to 200.8 hours per month for two children, 273.6 hours per month for three children, and 291.2 hours per month for four children. The cost of outsourcing parental and household duties for one child’s 20-year upbringing would be highest in Zurich, Switzerland (€1.03 million), followed by Basel, Switzerland (€954,000) and San Francisco, USA (€942,000). Hopefully these stats will increase the respect SAHMs deserve.
