I’m living in prayers I once prayed. Before I ask God for anything, I want to remember everything He has already given me. Thank You for my eyes and the beauty they get to witness. The world tells us happiness comes from more money, more success, more followers, or more stuff. But real joy isn’t found in what we have. It’s found in Who we have. When the trend said, “Say happiness in your head without moving your lips,” what word came to your mind? For me… it was Jesus. Psalm 16:11 says, “In Your presence there is fullness of joy.” Temporary happiness comes and goes. Maybe the reason you’re exhausted already isn’t because you have too much to do… maybe you’re trying to carry a week God never asked you to carry alone. I’ve been thinking about that. How often do I enter a new week with a list of plans, expectations, prayers and things I’m determined to make happen… without stopping to ask God what He has in mind? I don’t want to spend this week running ahead of Him and then asking Him to bless the path I chose. I want to walk with Him. Lord, give me the wisdom to know when to move and when to wait. Give me the courage to obey when I don’t understand. Give me grace when things don’t go according to my plans. And when I’m tempted to control everything, remind me that I was never meant to carry everything. Lord, empower me so we can partner together to produce the kind of week You have in mind not just the week I planned. I may not know what this week will bring. But I know who I want walking with me through it. Maybe that’s the prayer you needed today too. So tell me honestly what are you placing in God’s hands this week?
