Grateful for a beautiful day of learning, sharing, and connection. A big thank you to the Estevan Art Gallery & Museum for organizing this beading workshop and creating space for community, creativity, and culture. Thank you as well to each participant who came with open hearts to learn, bead, and support an Indigenous artist, it truly means so much. I received many blessings today, and I carry that with deep gratitude. We also took time to learn about and reflect on National Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, recognizing the importance of kindness, respect, and standing together against racism. Thank you again for making this day so meaningful. See less

Who else has suffered from the wrath of beading too much?! 🙋🏻‍♀️🥺 my new approach is slow and steady and in intervals. Patience. #beadwork #ottawa #indigenousart #firstnationsbeadwork
No big deal... This week is going to be a whirlwind of bead work as I prep for the market. Turns out, staying consistent on here takes up more time than I thought! Thank you for being here! #indigenousbeadwork #indigenousartist #yxemakers #trendingaudio #canada
Women Helping Women Beadwork has so many new pieces available. Please share with friends & family so all can follow us. This is the best way for us to highlight how incredible these women are at their craft. All beadwork is crafted by Indigenous women from various provincial and federal correctional facilities across Western Canada. We are a not-for-profit that’s been in business since 2019. Women Helping Women Beadwork incorporated in January 2024 and has grown to support and sell for approximately 50 women. 💯 of the sales are paid to the women.
As an indigenous Bead artist one piece of advice is just USE THOSE GOOD BEADS YOUVE BEEN SAVING. 🥰😅

Creating in a world of chaos can feel fruitless, but to me it’s my small piece of rebellion. A reminder that through colonization and destruction my people were able to hold on to these beautiful bits of colour and joy. i feel an immense amount of pride getting to share my pieces of rebellion with you all ❤️ If you want to support me and purchase my work check out my Etsy page: Wenzdae Weird 🌱🌟 #Beadwork #indigenousbeadwork #metisflorals #afroindigenous #nativebeadwork
