The story follows two young brothers as they navigate Lagos with their estranged father, experiencing both the city’s vastness and their father’s personal struggles, while political unrest threatens their journey home. The film explores fatherhood, identity, political tension, and memory within a pivotal moment in Nigerian history. Gates open 6pm Contribution: $1500 Limited seating. Last night ….. My Fathers Shadow really moved me in ways I didn’t expect. From the very first scene, the way it was filmed felt intimate and intentional every pause, every look, every silence said something. The camera didn’t just show a story, it made you feel it. The relationship between the father and his sons was especially touching. It captured that quiet, unspoken love the protection, the expectations, the misunderstandings, and the deep bond that doesn’t always need words. It was raw, tender and honest. A beautiful reminder that a father’s presence even in silence can shape a lifetime. Some films entertain… this one stays with you … and keeps you thinking.
