Had a great time at Boston Legacy’s first ever home opener 💚⚽️ I used to go to Boston Breakers games when I was little so I cannot wait to cheer on this Boston NWSL team this season! Boston just got a brand new pro team! Meet the Boston Legacy FC — Boston’s newest professional women’s soccer team and the 15th club in the National Women’s Soccer League. The team kicked off its inaugural season yesterday and is bringing top-level women’s soccer back to the city. For their first season, home games are being played at Gillette Stadium while renovations are underway at White Stadium in Franklin Park, which is expected to become their permanent home in the future. Getting there is easier than you might think: you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail event trains directly from South Station or Back Bay Station to Foxboro for select games. No car required — just grab your scarf and hop on the train. 🚆 ⚽ Upcoming home matches include games throughout the spring and summer at Gillette, with 15 total home games during the season.
