Happy World Wildlife Day! I’m so grateful for the amazing wildlife I have seen in my life. I could go on forever about these amazing animals and their beauty and splendor but for now let’s enjoy them. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity’s I have to see these animals and work with them and I think about it everyday. Today make some time to go out in nature and take time to notice the little things like the birds in your neighborhood or the little bugs in your garden and think about how beautiful of a world we live in. #wildlife #nature #animals #worldwildlifeday

I saw a story about someone asking: “why do you care about the environment?” the response was: “because I live there” and it’s true. we live there. here. among the old growth trees, river beds, meadows and swamps, waterfalls and seas. we are intimately tied to the seasons that rule our calendars. the flora and fauna which gives us vitamins and minerals, meals and homes. but my reason for wanting to protect and preserve this magnificent natural world we inhabit has less to do with me and my species and everything to do with THEM every ant, salamander, dragonfly, fox, elk, orca, baboon, crab, elephant, eagle, butterfly, crocodile and opossum. Every pollinator working hard to provide us sustenance and growth. Every mammal forced to coexist among depleting forests. Every marine creature soaring through their poisoned underwater home. this world wildlife day, I honor and continue to dedicate my life to them. No matter how devastating and hopeless it can feel, no matter how many steps we take back when we should be leaping forward, this is theirs. and while we do exist and we are growing & evolving each day that passes, I will spend all of them that I have left, advocating for giving wildlife the WILD. rewilding the habitats so intricate we cannot comprehend. speaking up for those who’s voices have been silenced. For the animals who still share this earth with us. and for those whose species are gone forever. Everything I do and everything that I am, is for them. The wildlife of this planet I call home. earth’s beautiful creatures. every animal I’ve had the privilege of interacting with has changed my life in ways I cannot explain. the least I can do is fight for theirs.
