I had a heart attack and I was gonna die. And I went to the UCLA Medical Center, and um, I saw the nurses were not being quick to my, getting to my dad, and they disrespected my dad, and then I disrespected them, and cops came and they kicked me out. And the lady said the most powerful thing. What makes you so entitled to think we have to take care of your dad quickly? You know who pays for your dad's health care? The government does. Taxpayers. Not you. Oh my god. I'll never forget that lady. I just lost it. Kicked me out. Downstairs in my car, crying like a little baby. I'm like, your dad's gonna die. Because you're lazy a holes to chase girls and go freaking party six days a week. And for the rest of your life, you will never say this to anybody, but you will hold on to it internally. Your dad died because the only son he had was a freaking schlep. You will eat that, you will live with that for the rest of your freaking life. You want that man to die? Keep doing the same. Go ahead. Came to work the next day, started working a hundred hours a week. And then I retired my dad. Comment SLAY to get my free 30-page guide. If all you had to do to become wealthy was work harder, there would be a lot more wealthy people in this country. The idea that someone makes less because they don’t work hard enough is incredibly insulting and factually inaccurate for most people. Teachers and nurses are incredibly hard working and are chronically underpaid. A CEO making millions a year does not work harder than a teacher. I would argue that most people making over $300k are probably overpaid in proportion to the value they provide. And anyone who won’t admit it is drinking their own kool aid. This is why we have to find ways to make our money go further which is why I’m a huge advocate of investing. Some people actually like what they do and I’m glad because we need them! We can’t have everyone quitting and becoming YouTube stars.
