STORYTIME: I used to think being a working parent meant easier schedules and an excuse to leave early whenever you wanted. three kids later... the joke's on me! #workingmom #corporatemillennial #workingparents #momhumor #workingmomlife
My favourite bit is spending all day feeling guilty about not being with your kids and all evening feeling guilty about not working hard enough šŸ‘šŸ» What’s your favourite bit? #mumlife #workingmum #workingparents #parentlife #parenting
This could easily be a video about working parents in general, not just working moms. šŸ¤ But I’m speaking from my experience as a working mom because that’s the perspective I know best. It’s not a competition between working moms and working dads. It’s not about who has it harder or who does more. Both parents work hard, both make sacrifices, and both deserve recognition. It’s about acknowledging that trying to balance a career, raising kids, maintaining a home, and finding time for yourself is HARD. And I think a whole lot of working parents are feeling that pressure right now. We’re all just doing our best to make it work. 🫶 #WorkingMomLife #WorkingParents #RealisticMotherhood #WorkingMotherhood #ParentingLife
I know I can’t be the only parent thinking this 😩 The kids have only JUST gone back to school and now it’s half term again. UK children get around 13 weeks off a year. Most PAYE jobs give around 4 weeks annual leave. And if you’re self-employed or run a business? You often get absolutely no childcare support whatsoever. Kids clubs near us are around Ā£35 PER CHILD, PER DAY 🤯 So genuinely, what are working parents actually supposed to do? Because trying to juggle work, childcare, finances and actually keeping your business running during every single school holiday feels impossible sometimes. Surely something has to change? #workingparents #ukparents #mumlifeuk #selfemployedmum #workingmum
If I were starting from scratch and wanted to create a few simple digital products for the holiday season, I’d look at these 6 šŸ‘‡ 1ļøāƒ£ The ā€œChristmas Without the Chaosā€ Planner A printable that combines gifts, meals, events, cards, and a December to-do list. 2ļøāƒ£ Christmas Morning Activity Pack Games, scavenger hunts, coloring pages, conversation cards, and activities to keep kids busy while everyone waits for breakfast. 3ļøāƒ£ Holiday Recipe Organizer A printable recipe book where people can collect family recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, and notes about what they want to make each year. 4ļøāƒ£ Christmas Gift-Giving Planner Budget + gift ideas + sizes + where you bought it + wrapping status + delivery tracking — all in one place. 5ļøāƒ£ Family Christmas Bucket List Simple ideas for things families can do together throughout December, from movie nights and baking to neighborhood walks and Christmas lights. 6ļøāƒ£ New Year Family Planning Kit A printable to help families look back on the year, choose what they want more of, plan important dates, and set a few meaningful goals for the year ahead. And here’s what I find interesting: You don’t necessarily need to invent something complicated. Sometimes the simplest products solve the most annoying little problems. A checklist. A planner. A template. A guide. Something that makes someone’s life just a little easier. That’s one of the things that made me curious about digital products in the first place. šŸ’” My mentor will show you exactly how to create, list, and sell products like these step by step inside Canva, the program built for beginners who want to turn simple designs into real šŸ’ø ✨ Comment HOME to get more info or grab the free training at the top of my page šŸ”— #WorkingParents#FamilyFirst#ParentLife#MorePresence#ModernFamily
If we could just organise ourselves a bit better we could show up 100% for both, right? Wrong. The truth is, trying to live two completely separate, but completely full time lives, as if the other one doesn’t exist is… completely unreasonable. Some days work gets the best of you and parenting gets the leftovers. Some days your kids get the best of you and your job gets the version that needs a caffeine drip just to get over the finish line. Other days no one gets the best of you and you feel like you’re letting everyone down. But that’s not failure - that’s logistics. When you’re trying to juggle two demanding lives, with no rest or recovery time between them, compromises are inevitable. But those compromises are not personal flaws or signs of weakness. They’re what happens when real life, responsibility, and very limited hours collide. So if today looks a bit messy, half-arsed, or held together with calendar reminders, don’t stress. You’re not failing at two things. You’re showing up for both. And that’s actually quite a lot. #mumlife #workingmums #workingparents #parenting #workingmomproblems

This isn’t about working moms versus working dads, and I don’t think any parent should be made to feel guilty for going to work. šŸ«¶šŸ¼ It’s simply about acknowledging a double standard that I think a lot of working moms still feel. As working moms, we know why we’re making the choices we’re making. We know what works for our family, what we need financially, what we want for our future, and what feels right for us and our children. šŸ¤ But that doesn’t mean the comments don’t still get to us. The looks. The questions. The implication that because we work, someone else is somehow raising our kids — or that we’re choosing work over our children. I have never once heard anyone say this to my husband, but I have heard some version of it more times than I can count. And I think that says a lot about the expectations we still place on mothers. No one else is raising our kids. We are. And at the same time, I could not be more grateful for the village my boys have had around them — the people who have cared for them, taught them, supported them, and loved them along the way. Having other people pour into our children does not take anything away from us as their moms. If anything, what a blessing it is that they get to be loved by so many people. šŸ«¶šŸ¼šŸ¤ Working moms, have you ever heard some version of this? POV: You’re a working parent trying to make the timings work… 🤯 School drop off at 8:20am. At your desk by 8:30am. School pick up at 3:20pm. Finish work at 5pm. I’m no Carol Vorderman, but the maths simply isn’t mathsing. 🫠 For years, I felt like I was constantly racing the clock. Dropping the kids off, rushing to work, feeling guilty when I left early, feeling guilty when I stayed late. Oh and let’s not forget the ā€œleave not grantedā€ email for when you missed the nativity. Something had to give. That’s one of the reasons I started building an income online alongside my job. Not because I wanted a Lamborghini or to become a millionaire overnight. I just wanted more flexibility. More choices. More time. Because surely life shouldn’t feel like one giant logistical puzzle every single day? Working parents, tap the comment box, tap the GIF button, and show me how you feel! šŸ‘‡ School’s out, the calendar’s full, and somebody has to figure what to do with the kids. That’s exactly why I built Camply. You can search camps by age, location, and dates and find the right fit for your family at joincamply.com. #workingparents #workingmom #momlife #atlantamoms #schoolbreakcamps
I thought one nanny would cover it. I quickly realized that’s impossible. It takes four versions of childcare to survive a Monday. #workingmom #momof3 #workingparents #village #femaleceo
If you live in a family with two working parents, here’s the harsh reality no one talks about… Things fall short every single day. Would I love to prep healthy dinners every night? Absolutely. But the reality is, it’s door dash or a meal prep service (and I’m so grateful those things exist!). Motherhood looks nothing like I thought it would, especially while building a demanding career. One thing I’ve learned: when both parents work, you have to hire out. That SAHM role? It’s actually a nanny, cook, cleaner, administrator, and CFO rolled into one. If you’re working, you better be prepared to pay for those ā€œluxuriesā€ too. And that’s okay. #WorkingMomLife #ModernMotherhood #WorkingParents #MomTruths #RealLifeMom #CareerAndKids
