Do you know who statistically the worst parents in the world are? Research shows it’s not the parents with the least money, education, or those who work the most hours. The worst parents are the ones who are inconsistent, they set rules on Monday and ignore them by Wednesday, threaten consequences they never follow through on, and swing between strict and permissive. Inconsistency in parenting predicts poor child outcomes more than almost any other factor. Kids don’t need perfect parents, they need predictable ones. Failed parents dismiss their children’s emotions and punish feelings instead of teaching appropriate responses. Studies show children of emotion-dismissing parents have worse emotional regulation and weaker social skills. The trait nobody expects: failed parents are authoritarian or permissive, never authoritative. Authoritative parents combine high expectations with high responsiveness, setting clear@boundaries and explaining the reasoning. The parents who fail aren’t less loving, they just lack consistency, emotional intelligence, and balance.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday President Donald Trump tells Europe: "We want a piece of ice for world protection, and they won't give it." President Donald Trump insisted he wants to “get Greenland, including right, title and ownership,” but said he wouldn’t employ force to achieve that — using his speech Wednesday at the World Economic Forum to repeatedly deride European allies and vow that NATO shouldn’t try to block U.S. expansionism. 📹: AP Newsroom
Wednesday Addams 🖤 Cold mind. Sharp wit. Zero patience for nonsense. Wednesday Addams walks through the world with a calm darkness that makes everyone else uncomfortable — and she enjoys every second of it. At Nevermore, while others chase friendships and drama, she focuses on solving mysteries and exposing the truth. Emotionless on the outside, but fearless on the inside — Wednesday proves that being different is her greatest strength. President Trump offered few new details Wednesday about the “framework” for a future Greenland deal that he announced earlier in the day after meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.   “It’s a deal that everybody is happy with,” he told reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.   Asked whether the agreement would ultimately lead to U.S. ownership of the semiautonomous territory as he had previously demanded, the president paused before saying, “It’s a long-term deal. It’s the ultimate long-term deal.”   “And I think it puts everybody in a really good position, especially as it pertains to security and minerals and everything else,” he added.   Asked how long the deal would last, President Trump replied, “Infinite. There is no time limit. It’s a deal that’s forever.”   Watch more by tapping the link in our bio. #trump #davos #greenland #cspan

President Trump said he would not use U.S. military force to acquire Greenland while speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday. In his address, the president demanded negotiations with Denmark, which has long-controlled Greenland, in his efforts to take over the arctic island which he called a “giant piece of ice” that needs protecting.
President Trump used a sweeping speech on Wednesday to attack multiple world leaders — including those from Canada, France, Israel, and Switzerland — arguing that many countries’ security and prosperity depend on the United States. Trump accused foreign governments of having “been screwing us for 30 years,” and claimed the West cannot “mass import foreign cultures,” pointing to Somali migrants in Minnesota as an example. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney warned Tuesday that the “rules-based international order” is effectively dead and that countries can no longer rely on the U.S. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of normalizing conflict and accelerating a shift toward “a world without rules.” Trump responded by saying Canada “lives because of the United States,” while also criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Switzerland’s president during the remarks. He described his negotiating strategy as threatening sweeping tariffs unless countries meet U.S. demands, saying France could face tariffs as high as 200% if it refuses to join his proposed Trump-led “Board of Peace” to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction. California Governor Gavin Newsom has said he was blocked from speaking at a World Economic Forum event in Davos and blamed the Trump administration. Newsom’s office said on X that USA House, the official US pavilion at the global event, denied his entry to speak there on Wednesday despite being invited as part of an event by media partner Fortune. #recallgavinnewsom #recallnewsom #recallnewsome #recallgavinnow #newscum
President Trump said at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday that if Hamas doesn't agree to give up their weapons, "they'll be blown away very quickly." Trump was asked if he thinks Gaza will soon be reconstructed and if the U.S. will invest billions towards the development, to which he replied, "I do. I mean, I think we have peace in the Middle East." He credited last June's military strike on nuclear facilities in Iran to peace in the region, saying "we did our job. If we didn't do that, you would never have peace in the Middle East."
