This is why this pose can be so powerful for your nervous system…
I've posted this pose before and got many questions about why this shape is great for regulating the nervous system..
So here you go..
When your body is cradled and supported in this way,
something begins to shift within you.
You can finally let go…
Let go of the tension you usually carry.
Let go of the weight of your body
into the support of the ground…
and the support of the strap.
And when you truly allow yourself to soften,
the nervous system can begin to feel safe
to settle,
to regulate.
This is where the body starts to unwind.
Try it and notice what you feel.
And send this to someone who might need it 💕
i've been getting so many messages asking how to actually do this pose properly.. the full way in and the way out..
so i filmed it.. slowly.. fully.. just for you..
comment WAY and i'll send you all 3 practices for free 🌿
➡️So many of you asked about the strap! I just partnered with Manduka and you can get 20% off with my code : NADIYOGA20 ~ link in bio!

🌺 When we’re young, we take so much for granted, like getting up and down from the floor. I know I did. We don’t realize that it’s not a given until we lose it. So I’ll keep reminding you how important— and pleasurable—simple movement is, especially as we get older.
🌻 Getting up and down from the floor isn’t primarily about fitness. It’s about function. Once you can no longer get up off the floor, everything gets harder. Getting up from a chair. Out of a car. Off the toilet. And slowly, your independence slips away.
🌹 Think about movement like this: doing lunges, sit-to-stands, and simple strength work is training for the life you want to keep on living. Because movement is freedom.
🦋 Why not adopt this habit? When you switch on the television, do one set of sit to stand exercises, before settling in for the night
NOTE: Thanks to Teddy Swims for his beautiful song, and heartfelt lyrics, “if you want to change the world, start with yourself”

Fix Your Forward Fold ✅ (Simple Hack)
Struggling to touch your toes?
It’s not always about forcing the stretch… it’s about how you get there.
This isn’t a magic fix for everything and it’s important to know you won’t touch your toes right away - but it’s a simple hack I use all the time to help you:
• Bend the knees
• Lengthen the spine
• Fold from the hips (not the lower back)
Perfect for beginners, or something you can use in classes straight away 👌🏼
Try this:
1️⃣ Bend your knees
2️⃣ Hug your arms around your legs
3️⃣ Lift your chest + find length
4️⃣ Slowly start to extend the legs
5️⃣ Relax the arms + fold naturally
Move with control, not force.
Save this and give it a go 🔖

Stop trying to “go lower” in your forward fold ❌
That’s not the goal.
Most people just drop down,
round the back, and pull themselves closer to the legs…
thinking that’s a deeper stretch.
But all it does is load your lower back ⚠️
and take the work away from your hamstrings.
Forward fold is not about going down first ⬇️
It’s about going forward first ➡️
Try this instead:
• Grow tall through your spine
• Slightly lift your chest
• Hinge from your hips (not your waist)
• Keep your back long
• Then slowly fold down
If your hands don’t touch the floor, it’s okay.
If your knees need to bend, it’s okay.
Do it right, not deep.
Because it was never about touching your knees with your nose…
it was about how well you move into the pose ✨

It’s been a small shift,
but I’ve noticed better digestion, steady energy,
and a more mindful start to my day.
Consistency > intensity. Always.
