This AAPI Heritage Month, I had the chance to share the story behind Mógū and its owner, Mike Wang, whose family’s immigrant journey played a major role in who he is today. From immigrating to the U.S at a young age & growing up in his parents’ Chinese restaurant to building a modern Chinese restaurant with multiple locations, his story is one of hard work, family and the American dream. Thank you for having me! @moguchinese • • • #News12LongIsland #AAPIHeritageMonth #Mogu

Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 🌺 Our Polynesian Club shared the rich traditions, culture and spirit of the Pacific with beautiful performances. Thank you to these talented students for bringing our community together through music, movement and storytelling. #AAPIHeritageMonth #Unum #CCHSPolynesianClub
The dance isn’t just entertainment; it represents dignity, honor, grace, and the prestige of the aiga. I feel so bad when a taupou has worked so hard on their siva only to be crowded by so many people that she can’t really show off all that she has prepared. That’s why it’s best to just throw the money, keep our distance, not make it about us, and just support from behind. Happy AAPI month! #samoan #samoa #polynesianculturalcenter #aapiheritagemonth
Nobody told me healing could be this beautiful. 🔥✨ Meet the glassblowing artist @ktglassworks turning flame into therapy — and redefining what mental wellness looks like in the AANHPI community. This May, we’re celebrating the healers who do it differently. 🌸💗 if you are in LA you can take their public workshops and learn to blow glass! this segment still resonates so much! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #AAPIHeritageMonth #ArtTherapy #glassblowing #AAPIMentalHealth
Different villages. Different stories. Same pride. 🌺🌴 One of the best parts of building this community has been hearing where everyone comes from and who they represent. There’s something powerful about seeing Pacific Islanders come together and proudly say where they’re from. From Samoa to Tonga, Fiji, Hawai’i, the Marshalls, Guam, and beyond… we carry our people with us. ❤️ Where’s your village from? ⬇️ #PacificIslander #Pasifika #AAPIHeritageMonth #Runclub #health
71 years. Three generations. And more than 200,000 kinds of pins! Oriental Art Gallery first opened in Chinatown back in 1955 before moving to the Sunset in 1967. Today, Su the “pin lady” is 92 years old and her deaf son and daughter-in-law help run the beloved family business. From buttons and patches to tiny collectibles and treasures, this place feels like stepping into another era of San Francisco. They’re old school and don’t have a website and most orders are handled by text, so call ahead first before stopping by. Honestly, one of the sweetest families ever 🥰 📍 1340 9th Avenue SF, CA #aapiheritagemonth #sanfrancisco #shoplocal #sf #asianownedbusiness
