We’ve made it through my product comparison series for the 6 most important categories in The Abbey Yung Method- clarifying shampoo, non-clarifying shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, leave in heat protecting sprays, bond repair treatments and hair oils. To wrap up this series, I wanted to share a summary of my recommendations by hair type all in one video. Reminder, this isn’t meant to serve as a list of the *only* products you can use if you have fine/thin hair or to suggest that you can’t use something that isn’t on this list. Instead, think of it like a list of the products I think people with fine/thin hair types will enjoy the most for anyone who needs help deciding! I’ve seen a lot of confusion surrounding the OGX Coconut Miracle Oil- whether or not it’s actually good for your hair, if it’s really hydrating or not, if it’s a requirement in a healthy hair routine, etc. so I wanted to clear this up once and for all! #hairoil #abbeyyungmethod #damagedhair #hairroutine

I am realizing my wavy hair needs a lot more hydration than I've been giving it, so I'm following some of @abbeyyung's recs Oddly enough, the @ogx_beauty Coconut Miracle Oil doesn't bother me as much, so I'm going to keep it as my pre-shampoo oil treatment Let me know if you want me to make a follow up video, or if you have some recs that are good for fragrance-sensitive people like me! #hair #affordablehaircare #abbeyyungmethod

Every time I got highlights or balayage from the hairdresser my hair would feel terrible after. So after a breakup 🥲 I did what everyone tells you not to do…I box dyed my hair. My dark level 5 brunette hair did indeed go orange, but I persevered and am now out of the orange and into the blonde. And funnily enough my hair feels incredible. I live in NZ so not many of the products Abbey Young recommends are available here. The routine I follow is Oil roots and ends (if I remember) a few hours before shower (I’ve worked out face oils don’t agree with me so I combined them all and use them for this step) Pantene clarifying shampoo and L’Oréal gloss shampoo alternating The conditioner that comes in the box dye Comb it through and leave it to sit while I wash my face and body (helps to keep a claw clip in the shower to get the hair off your body) Pantene collagen mask is amazing for every couple weeks. Dry with a microfibre hair towel. Olaplex hair oil (I’ll try the ogx coconut one after as I hear good things) Overnight curls once hair is 80-90% dry I have silk pillowcases and when I go anywhere and sleep on a normal cotton pillow case I really notice how frizzy my hair gets so the silk definitely helps! Thank you, @abbeyyung. 🙏🏼 I wish I’d started sooner. Full disclosure my hair is super fine but I have lots of it, and it tangles if you even look at it too long. Not to mention a super oily scalp, my hair gets greasy mere hours after washing it. The first video was 24 hours after my last wash in the evening. The second video was taken immediately after waking up the morning after first using the method. Having slept in a braid, with no brushing 😮 the gloss is undeniable! I think the clarifying shampoo and gloss conditioner made the biggest difference for me but I’m excited to keep it up!
