It was never luck. I have always had dry skin. After so much trial and error, I finally found a cream that actually helps with dryness and skin texture. This is the cream that finally moisturizes and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin tone. Matter of Fact Maximalist Age-defying moisturizer. 🤍
Mandy picked another myth from the bowl… and this one confuses a lot of people. 🫙
“The more products you use, the better your skin will be.”
It sounds logical: if one product helps, five must be even better. Social media routines with 8–10 steps have made it seem like more effort equals better skin.
But in reality, too many products can overwhelm your skin.
Layering multiple formulas increases the risk of irritation, barrier disruption, breakouts, and sensitivity, even when every product you’re using is technically “good.”
Your skin usually responds best to consistency and balance, not complexity.
The real non-negotiables are simple:
🧴 Cleanser
🧴Moisturiser
🧴Sunscreen
Anything beyond that should be targeted and introduced slowly, giving your skin time to adapt.
If you remember one thing:
more products don’t mean better skin, better balance does. 🧴

Does tingling mean your skincare product is working?
Many people believe that a tingling sensation means a skincare product is active or effective. But is that really true?
In this Myth Buster Monday, we explore the science behind why some skincare products create a tingling sensation and whether it actually means the product is working.
Some ingredients like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, and Salicylic Acid may cause mild sensations on the skin, but that doesn’t always indicate effectiveness.
In this video you’ll learn:
✨ Why some skincare products tingle
✨ The role of the Skin Barrier
✨ When tingling may signal irritation
✨ Ingredients that work without causing sensation, like Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid
Watch till the end to find out if this common skincare belief is myth or fact.

You might be using the wrong skincare for your skin type
Do this test:
Wash your face → wait 1 hour → don’t touch it
Then check:
Dry & tight → dry skin
Comfortable → normal
Oily T-zone → combo
Shiny everywhere → oily

When your skin can't pick a personality?! One day it's dry and flaky. Next day? Oily in places I didn't know could BE oily.
I was using like 47 different products trying to fix it and honestly? Making it worse.
Then I finally figured out something embarrassingly simple. Your skin doesn't need MORE products. It needs the RIGHT ones. In the right order. And it takes like... 5 minutes.
I put everything I learned into a little ebook because I was tired of watching other women waste money on stuff that doesn't work for their skin type.

HOT TAKE: it’s not ALWAYS your hormones.
I see so many women in their late 20s blaming breakouts on “hormones” (and yes, sometimes it is!!!)…
but no one is talking about what we’re putting on our skin every single day.
Heavy, full-coverage foundation, especially on already congested or compromised skin can keep you stuck in a cycle:
Breakouts → more coverage → more congestion → repeat.
And I was in that cycle.
Facials, over-exfoliating, trying everything…
but still covering it up every single day.
It wasn’t until I simplified my routine and stopped relying on heavy makeup that my skin actually started to calm down.
This isn’t me saying “never wear foundation”
but if your skin isn’t happy, it might be time to look at what you’re layering on top of it.
Sometimes less really is more.
Stop woof woofing up the wrong tree!
