He gave away free line-ups... and his barbershop made $34K a month. 💈 Milo's shop had a great location, great barbers and almost no customers. So he stopped advertising haircuts and started the Fresh Club: $19 a month, one free line-up every week. The line-up brought the men back. The $30 cuts paid the bills. And the question "do I need a haircut yet?" disappeared. He wasn't selling haircuts. He was selling never having a bad hair week. Be honest: would you pay $19 a month for a weekly line-up? YES or NO 👇 Send this to a barber who needs this idea. #barbershop #barber #smallbusiness #businessstrategy #entrepreneur #marketing #moneylessons #businessideas #milosmoneystories
How did Red Bull become a $10 billion brand without traditional advertising? They threw cans in the trash. 1980s Energy drinks didn't exist. Nobody knew what Red Bull was. Traditional ads wouldn't work. Too expensive. Too slow. Dietrich Mateschitz needed a different strategy. The Play: Red Bull hired college students as "brand ambassadors." Their job: drink Red Bull at parties, clubs, libraries, gyms. Then throw the empty cans in visible trash bins. That's it. The Psychology: People see dozens of Red Bull cans in one trash can. Their brain thinks: "Everyone's drinking this. Must be popular." Social proof without saying a word. The can itself became the advertisement. Why It Worked: 🎯 Targeted tastemakers. College students, nightlife crowds, athletes. 🗑️ Visible consumption. Empty cans = silent endorsement. 👥 Created FOMO. "Everyone's trying this. I should too." 💰 Dirt cheap. Cost of a few free cans vs. millions in ad spend. The Expansion: Red Bull didn't stop at trash cans. They sponsored extreme sports nobody else would touch: cliff diving, air racing, skateboarding, BMX. Created Red Bull Stratos – Felix Baumgartner jumping from space. Owned the "adrenaline" category entirely. Built a media empire: Red Bull TV, Red Bull Records, sports teams. The Result: Red Bull sells 12+ billion cans annually. Worth over $10 billion. All without a single traditional TV ad in the early years. The Lesson: Red Bull didn't tell you their drink was good. They made you think everyone else already knew. Trash cans did more for the brand than billboards ever could. Other Examples: 🍎 Apple Store lines create hype through visible demand. 👟 Supreme drops create scarcity through limited stock. 🎵 Spotify's "most streamed" playlists drive more streams. The best marketing doesn't look like marketing. It looks like everyone else is already in on it. Red Bull proved: perception of popularity creates actual popularity. Plant the cans. Let curiosity do the rest. 🗑️ . #businessgrowth #business #mba #businesstips #marketing

🚀 The Best Advertising Doesn’t Just Sell—It Creates Impact! 🎯 Great ads don’t just promote products; they tell stories, evoke emotions, and build connections. The most successful brands use these strategies: ✅ Emotional Storytelling– People remember feelings, not features. ✅ Clear & Compelling Message– Simplicity wins attention. ✅ Bold & Creative Visuals– Stand out in a crowded market. ✅ Targeted Approach– Right message, right audience, right time. ✅ Strong Call-to-Action (CTA)– Tell people exactly what to do next. 💡Want your ads to convert? Calling all creative marketers.. right now is the time to step up the game. The world is begging for fresh and exciting ideas, so reach deep into your creative soul and push some boundaries instead of going through the motions with the current lazy status quo. #marketing #advertising #branding #creativedirection #contentmarketing
One of my favourite campaigns I’ve seen recently. Back Market is selling refurbished iPod Shuffles with the line: “Zero screen time. Downgrade now.” For years, tech has been sold as a race towards more: more features, more capability, more time on your device. This campaign does the opposite. It recognizes that many people aren’t trying to spend more time online anymore—they’re trying to create a little distance from it. That’s what makes it so effective. It doesn’t invent a new desire. It simply gives a name to one that’s already emerging. The best marketing often isn’t about changing behaviour. It’s about noticing where behaviour is already going. #Marketing #BrandStrategy #Advertising #ConsumerBehavior #Branding
