Would you enter a country through a less popular border if it is free and has less hassle? TOGO 🇹🇬 TO GHANA 🇬🇭 FOR FREE Typically, the route to enter Ghana from Lagos is; Seme border (Nigeria/Benin) > Hilaconji border (Benin/Togo) > Aflao border (Togo/Ghana) The Aflao border is known to be one of the most stressful borders in West Africa however because I explored another town (Kpalime) within Togo, instead of the Aflao Border, I went through the Honuta Border and it was totally free and hassle free! It was quite an eye opening experience to know that the less popular borders have better protocols and less hassles. I plan to explore more of them so I can share my experiences. Don’t forget we’re still advocating for a borderless Africa and you can help with this movement by signing the petition through the link in my bio. Sakomi! 😩 One of my fav street foods at the Togo Aflao border! 😋 A light crispy bread (sort of a baguette) filled with a variety of toppings and salad! Just like any other street food, if you’re going to worry about how the ingredients are kept, then just don’t buy it 🥲 because obviously, you can’t trust any street food vendor. If you visit the border and you decide to buy it, make sure you buy from a vendor recommended by a local! If you’ve tried it before, let me know in the comments 🥳💜
