Over the past few weeks Ive been working really hard!! This week as I walk into my final days of middle school …8th grade I want to reflect. I am really going to miss my school, all of my friends and teachers. I had a blast at my final performances and enjoyed the 8th grade dance!!! Thank you for everything and I am honored to be awarded with 2023 All County Dancer for AACPS!!! BPMS!!! 💙 #Highschool is loading #Summer is loading #Excited for all the things ✨✨

Practice details:
⭐️ The most important thing you can do is to practice this slowly with great tone that carries through the articulation
⭐️ Next I would divide the piece into 9 sections, 4 bars per section. Then you would set a timer for 2 or 3 minutes and ONLY play one section for the entire 2 or 3 minutes. You can use all of the practice strategies below during the time allotment, practice at different tempi, check intonation, work on tone, etc. BUT DO NOT go on even if you think you are done with a section- there is always more you can work on. It is also really good to practice each section out of order (for more on this practice method see Dr. Danilo Mezzadri’s Spider Log practice video)
⭐️Finally, use lots of different practice rhythms to help you build confidence with this piece! I think that the best ones for this piece involve eliminating notes (adding rests) while keeping the rhythm in place. Send me a message if you don’t understand these methods and I can explain them more 😊
Please join me for the FCC (@musicatfrederick) All County and All State clinic on Sunday, October 26th! Details on signing up can be found in my bio and stories! This event is open to clarinetist too- our two clarinet faculty members will be there to work with all clarinetists!

This is a more advanced form of training power and plyometrics. Base levels of strength and mastering of basic plyometric exercises should be done before moving on to something like this
