I couldn’t wait to share this beautiful little gem with you 💜
This morning, we finally visited The Good Company & Co. Cafe in Joondalup, a training cafe dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities as they build real hospitality skills for life.
From the moment you walk in, you can feel it. This is more than just a cafe. It’s a space built on inclusivity, belonging, and genuine care.
As a mum of children with additional needs, this visit felt especially meaningful. Watching the team learn, connect, and truly enjoy what they were doing was incredibly moving. You could see the pride, support, and passion from both the staff in training and the owner.
It’s places like this that give so much hope for the future 💜
The food is delicious, the staff are lovely, and there are lots of gluten free options, plus a few dairy free options too.
It’s also a quiet, relaxed space, with games, colouring in, and magazines available, making it such a welcoming place to sit and enjoy your time.
If you’re local, please consider visiting and supporting this incredible business. It’s also perfectly located near Child Developmental Services Joondalup, with easy, free parking for both.
Please note their opening hours:
Closed Monday & Tuesday
Wednesday to Friday: 7:00am to 2:30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 7:30am to 2:30pm
Let’s get behind businesses that are creating real impact in our community 💜
Thank you for a wonderful first visit @thegoodcompanyandco, we will definitely be back again!

Earlier this month, we joined LinkedIn Local at @the_incubator_tauranga , connecting with people from across the local business community and supporting the event with our coffee machine to keep everyone fuelled.
A highlight was hearing Juliana Carvalho speak about changing the narrative around disability. One point that really stayed with us was how often disability is treated as a burden, when in reality what carries people through life is connection to family, friends, and community. She also shared thoughtful reflections on mindset, how learning to master our minds can bring peace even when life is challenging, and the idea of surrender, letting go of the need to control everything and allowing life to unfold. Her work supporting families navigating immigration with a family member with a disability was incredibly powerful.
And one line we won’t forget: be a Rhino.
Thanks to @linkedinlocaltauranga for hosting such a meaningful event, and to Alana Swain and Leeann Bassett for bringing people together.
The team getting ready for another busy shift in the café💪🏻❤️💙
We’re so grateful for all of our wonderful customers keeping us so busy in the café - thank you all❤️💙

Five years ago, All Things Equal was founded from a deeply personal place.
When our Founder Jonathan Wenig’s daughter Tali finished school, their family faced a question many families of young people with disability know all too well. What comes next?
Inspired by Tali’s love of cooking and baking, and a belief that meaningful employment should be accessible to everyone, Jonathan and his wife began reaching out to their network to build something that simply didn’t exist. A place where young people with disability could gain real work experience, build confidence and be paid award wages.
That vision became All Things Equal.
Today, our cafés in Melbourne provide inclusive employment opportunities, supported by a growing pathway model that includes pre-employment training and partnerships with leading hospitality employers. Together, we are helping trainees gain their first job, build their CV and transition into open employment.
We are incredibly proud to see Jonathan share this journey as part of News Corp’s new video series A Neurodivergent Generation Unpacked, hosted by National Education Editor Dr Susie O’Brien.
This episode explores how families can better support neurodivergent children through school and into adulthood — and why inclusive education must be matched with inclusive employment opportunities.
At All Things Equal, we are committed to building those pathways every day.
Watch the episode and join the conversation.
