University of Maryland Women's Basketball head coach Brenda Frese is no stranger to rallying a team. But when her son Tyler was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, her most important game was fought off the court. On Saturday, Team UMA came together for the @relayforlife of Greater Tampa Bay. Ultimate Medical Academy was the presenting sponsor and helped raise $42,492 in support of the @americancancersociety . Throughout the evening, our community gathered to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise awareness for a cause that touches so many lives. At the UMA tent, attendees added messages of support and remembrance to ribbons representing different types of cancer and decorated UMA tote bags alongside fellow community members. While the rain came down hard and brought the evening to an early close, it did not take away from the impact of the night or the purpose behind why this cause matters. 💜
