Unpopular opinion: But “dressing your age” is just a way that society strips women of value and forces them into the background.
The main value society gives women is based on their beauty and desirability. So by telling women over their 20’s that they need to cover up, they are stripping that value away. Look at any magazine recommending “how to dress your age” the examples are all about stripping away personal expression, desirability, and fading as much into the background as possible.
It’s frankly bullshit. And I refuse to follow that “rule”.
