Why are people SO irritated when they think about vegans? Is it in your imagination? Or are all vegans just extremely annoying? Research has established that when people were asked to contemplate their feelings about vegans and several other common prejudice target groups, only drug addicts were evaluated more negatively than vegetarian and vegans. The study authors stated that unlike other forms of bias (e.g., racism, sexism), negativity toward vegetarians and vegans is not widely considered a societal problem; rather, negativity toward them is commonplace and largely accepted. So if you are veggie or vegan and have noticed negative reactions from friends, family, co-workers or strangers, hopefully this video can provide some comfort that it’s probably not personal. Every 4 months @emily_the_trimmer comes to trim the pigs feet. They also get their teeth looked at, tusks trimmed if needed and a deep ear clean. She does this all on their back and without sedation. Sedating pigs is VERY risky and should only be done by a vet who knows pigs. “Flipping” them is quick and easy, the whole process is done within minutes and they can instantly get up and go about their day. Just don’t let them eat for 2 hours prior so they don’t choke/aspirate. Also be sure the trimmer only uses a dremel, not clippers! Emily has a whole crew of trimmers who travel the country.
