cLOUDDEAD debut record re-release came in today. This album takes me back to when the underground vibe was still so fresh and new. Anticon records, MUSH, DEFJUX, Rhymesayers etc... they set it off for so many. This album right here brings me back to when my daughter was born. I had mail ordered the CD the week she was born, and between going to and from work and the hospital, this CD was a constant. The nostalgia of those days, being a new dad. 9/11 had a weird vale if uncertainty over it all. It came out in May but didn't order until September because I already had the original 10" vinyl set. But now I was able to vibe out on the go when I needed to. A dream for over a decade, so incredible to do this launch with @serengetidave 🥰 I was at a show in Nashville back in 2013 and ran into Dave after the show. I had just started listening to him after Anticon released Don’t Blame Steve, an incredible song written about the cubs World Series debacle. We talked for a long while and became fast friends, especially after we learned we had the same birthday! Over the years we still text eachother movie recommendations, check in on eachother and have become great pals. Congrats to the LVJCo team for pulling this together, and @dorkystarr’s amazing illustrations. ❤️❤️❤️
