An anxious mind is not always caused by the thoughts. Some of the time the racing thoughts are a reaction to the anxiety, not the source of it. When you sit with the uncomfortable feeling of anxiety instead of trying to get rid of it, your mind does not have to work so hard. Also, uncertainty exposure helps your brain learn that the unknown is not dangerous. Lastly, shift your attention back into the world instead of monitoring every thought or physical sensation you have. #anxietyhelp #anxietysupport #anxietyawareness #anxiousmind #stopruminating #stopoverthinking

ANXIETY is a big one for many humans and I’m always looking for ways to manage that. Tools 🛠 that can guide us into a greater understanding of why it happens so we can begin to move towards feeling less scared, worried and just a little off balance. The truth is that it’s all about perspective and in this video I talk about truly gaining perspective and using that to your advantage. So If you struggle with anxiety, then do give it a go. Let me know how it works for you and share it with someone you think could benefit. BTW speaking of anxiety, over the next few weeks I will be embarking on a new journey in my career and my love affair with communication. We all know how that causes all kinds of anxiety… I am excited to share it with you. #davidjpphillips #anxiety #anxietyrelief #anxiousmind #perspective #gainclarity #lifeadvice
This is your reminder ✨ I can get very stuck in my head and very attached to negative thoughts. For me, it helps to physically step outside and take a few breaths. How about you? Do you notice when you’re feeling stressed/stuck? #anxiety #wellnesstips #anxiousmind #lgbtq #anxietyrelief

the last one made me cry while making this🥲 We can legitimately complain about a lot of things and stuff around us, but here is a new way to look at things🫶🏼✨ Did you know anxiety & gratitude can’t be felt simultaneously in the same intensity? This is because they involve different neural processes. Anxiety activates the amygdala, the brain’s center for processing fear and threat, triggering a stress response. On the other hand, gratitude activates areas like the prefrontal cortex and the ventral striatum, which are linked to positive emotions and reward processing. Because these emotional states involve different parts of the brain that serve different functions, it’s difficult for both to be fully activated at the same time. That said, it’s possible to shift from feeling anxious to feeling grateful, as the brain can transition between emotional states relatively quickly. This is why gratitude can be effective in managing anxiety—it helps refocus attention on positive aspects of the present moment, potentially reducing anxiety. Focusing on gratitude to manage anxiety isn’t about ignoring or dismissing tough emotions—it’s about creating space for a positive shift in perspective. It’s not toxic positivity; it’s a way to balance difficult feelings by intentionally choosing to acknowledge what’s good in the moment. Recognizing both the struggles AND the positive aspects of life can help create emotional resilience, not force a ‘good vibes only’ mindset. #psychologyfacts #confidencequotes #mentalhealthtips #selfworthquotes #traumainformed #therapymemes #childhoodtrauma #braindevelopment #brainscience #anxietysupport #anxiousmind #anxietyrecovery #gratitudequotes #perspectiveshift

Have you tried it? • A little over a month ago, I gave my bathroom a refresh and I bought these remote control battery operated candles. They feel so real and they just add warmth and the perfect soft glow. I bought them for my bathtub, but then realized one night that the lighting was so bright in my bathroom when I walked in to take a shower and my overstimulation couldn’t take it so I used the candles to shower. 🤯 And it’s been the biggest game changer. I look forward to it every night. • Did you know as humans, if it’s dark out, we shouldn’t have bright lights blazing. That’s why it’s important to eliminate blue light and all bright lights before bed. If it’s dark outside, it should be dark inside. This has been hard for me cuz I’m a “every light in the house is on” type of person haha. For those of you that shower in the mornings, try this! If it’s dark when you get up, perfect! • If you try it. I want to know! If you want the link to my inexpensive fancy real but fake candles…comment CANDLE and I’ll send you the ones I got. I’m obsessed! Make sure to follow me @tabitha.sampson ❤️#nervoussystemhealing #anxiousmind #anxietytips #alcoholfreelife #bedtimeroutine
