ALL HEALING BALM! This balm works FAST at healing skin, a must have for the winter! And it couldn't be easier to make yourself! 🌿Add a half cup each of dry plant material: Plantain Rosemary Calendula Arnica 🌿Place into an oven safe dish and fill with: 3 cups of food quality olive oil 1 cup of sweet almond oil 🌿Place dish in the oven at 170 for about 3 to 4 hours 🌿Strain out your plant material and place oil in a double boiler (in my case, a mason jar in a pot of simmering water) and simmer it on low as you add: 1 cup of beeswax, stirring it into the oil to fully melt. 🌿Once the wax has completely melted you can pour your balm into whatever containers you want to use to store it. Witches Apothecary! Halloween DIY series: part 7! •HOLY SH*T was this DIY time consuming but so worth it! I will be having a part 2 to really go into more detail about how I made my vision for an apothecary come to fruition. •first things first, STOP throwing out your jars. This took me a long time to collect as I make a lot of stuff from scratch but I saved EVERY JAR & even took empty jars after leaving a party or a dinner. •you’ll need to scrub off labels. Be smarter than me and do that as you go and not until the very end. This was time consuming scrubbing and cleaning them all at once. •keep most jars their original colors, especially the tinted and colored jars. I picked a handful to spray paint matte black. •log onto to Etsy and pick some apothecary labels. I purchased over 5 different sizes and various labels •print them on sticker paper. •cut and trim •lay out your labels in front of jar and map out your options •begin sticking them on •now time to decorate those jars! I’ll do a more detailed video tomorrow on how I detailed my jars for an even more aged/spooky look! •pick out some various items to detail that apothecary! Moss, skulls, glass domes, dried florals, lights, etc. •this is the most important part! Really put in the time into the display! Organize and add various items between jars and stack different colors together! •I hope you try this out because it was so fun & a great way to upcycle!
