Matthews Studio Equipment introduces the Apple Box Topper™, a step forward in studio comfort. A cushiony accessory that instantly converts an Apple Box into the most comfortable seat on set!! We spend enough time perched on these amazing onset tools, why not make them plush stools! 🤣
Super practical carrying handle made from our heavy duty Sand Bag webbing makes it a breeze to grab your seat and Move On!! We included two side pockets to stow your stuff, they’re the original Matthews Safety Orange so no one goes stumbling over your seat on a dark set.
Apple Box Topper is designed to fit snuggly over the 12”x8” top of a full-sized apple box. Turn your Full Apple Boxes into a VIP seating experience for yourself, your crew or anyone you’re looking to impress….you know, for that next job!

Apple boxes the simplest thing that does everything on set. Sit on it, stand on it, or prop something up. Every studio needs a few. 😉

Sometimes we overlook the tools we need if it’s not a direct part of filming or bringing the creative to life camera wise but Apple boxes are so important in film production! And you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t have one on set! They work for both cinematography as well as photography!
They have so many purposes to really name and are so versatile! I bought one myself for the simple fact that I’m short and usually need it to stand and sit as I cam op and DP!
But most times you can ask your G&E team for one! But I promise you, these are a MUST HAVE when filming and shooting on set!
