Answering ur questions about how I improved👇 1️⃣ QUESTION 1 : How did you improve your art ? As self-taught artists, we often have no F clue on how to keep on improving our art and find our art style. What made me improved was settling good drawing habits : 👉 draw every day : you’ll learn consistency and you’ll also ultimately end up drawing more and gaining more experience. 👉 draw from references : you art will appear more accurate and more advanced. And you’ll train your brain to simplify what you see and reproduce accurately, which is one of the priority skills you need to get before anything else! 👉Focus on drawing one thing ! I know… does not sound funny. But if you want to improve fast, you need to stay focused. This year I progressively gave up on colours and painting to focus on pencil portraits. And this was a key decision that allowed me to reach this level. 2️⃣ QUESTION 2 : can I improve if I don’t have a lot of time to make art ? Yes ! the past three years I was studying + running my own business + taking care of my cat + making art and sharing it on Instagram. I did not have much time to draw, maybe 15 to 30 mn a day. But I was still able to improve because I showed up every day. Even if it was for 5 mn. 3️⃣ QUESTION 3 : What did you include in your practice to improve ? 👉 80% of the time, it was drawing from Pinterest references 👉 a bit of following tutorials 👉 and a bit of studying face anatomy It is far from being the best programm ! You can have way better results than mine by building up a strategy tailored to make you improve, including learning the fundamentals, practicing design etc etc… But what I want you to keep from this post is that if building a strategy is so much pressure and so complicated that you don’t even know where to start… Just start small like I did. If you want more art tips like this one, know that I created a FREE newsletter for social media artists! How I GREW my art account in less than 2 weeks 😱 Happy 5.7k friends! I can’t believe so many of you joined my art journey in recent days. I’ve been stuck for a while so this means so much to me, thank you ☹️🫶 And because I love sharing with you, here’s what worked for me after several months of being stuck: ❌ I did NOT grow by art reels, instead I focused on carousels. Carousels are when you post multiple slides/photos at the same time! The more that your audience swipes until the very last slide, the more that your carousel has the potential to grow 📈 I usually stick to 4 photos! ❌ I did not post everyday, simply because I don’t think that will be beneficial to my creativity in the long run. As artists, our best work manifests itself when you’re not constantly scrounging your brain for what to post. Prioritize quality over quantity 💪 I stick to 1-2 carousels of my art per week and then I add 1-2 reels of my creative process/tips as well. This makes my posting schedule only every other day instead of once a day. Stick to what you can actually commit to. ❌ It’s a marathon, not a race. I used to wish that my art reels would just blow up and I can gain a ton of followers overnight, but I find that slowly but surely building your art community through genuinely engaging and valuable posts is better in the long run! I have lots of friends who are kind enough to always like, comment and share my posts and I do the same for them 💗 It’s the authenticity of the community that you want to focus on, not just the numbers ^^ I hope these make sense! My art journey has been taken such a surprising turn lately and I’m so grateful that you guys are here. Again THANK YOU so much 🥹✨✨ #cozyart #cuteart #artistreel #stickershop #stickerartist #stickerart #sticker
