"Angine de Poitrine" is an experimental rock duo from Saguenay, Québec (Canada), formed in 2019.

"Angine de poitrine” literally means chest angina (heart pain).
In punk culture it suggests urgency, pressure, and social “pain”.
The group consists of Khn (guitar, bass, microtonal instruments) and Klek (drums).
They are known for their spectacular stage performances featuring oversized papier-mâché masks, polka-dot costumes, and stylized staging.
Although they present themselves as “brothers” as part of the concept, they are not actually related, but have been playing together since the age of 13.
Their music blends experimental rock, math rock, and microtonality, drawing inspiration from musical traditions of Asia, the Middle East, and avant-garde jazz.
Their complex sound—characterized by uneven rhythms and non-standard chords—received wide attention after the broadcast in February 2026 of a live session for KEXP in Rennes, which accumulated more than 2.8 million views on YouTube.
Their debut album, Vol. 1, was released in June 2024. They later released the singles Mata Zyklek (2025) and Fabienk (2026), ahead of their second album Vol. II, scheduled for release on April 3, 2026.
The band was named Artist of the Year 2025 at the Gala alternatif de la musique indépendante du Québec and is preparing to begin its first tour in the United States in September 2026.
