Building a Backyard Office — Part 2 (A tribute to all the other millennials out there who can’t afford to move out of their “starter” home, but who need more space) Here’s how we built our foundation and base frame! Reminder—this is not meant to be a step-by-step guide. Please do your research and consult professionals! We decided not to do a concrete pad because in rainy Oregon, there seemed to be a higher chance of it not withstanding moisture and temperature changes long-term. Full video posted on my youtube channel Naturalktedy 👌😜Our prefabricated modular homes which we call "PODs" would be great as an upcountry home, an Airbnb, a backyard office, a guest house or a place to call home. Our PODs are constructed from a steel frame foundation/base that can be installed on either a slab or steel pillars, the walls and roof are of sandwich panels made with EPS and iron sheets, which are further clad on the inside with gypsum and the outside with the choice of either wood, fibreboard or steel sheets. Our POD is sturdy and exceptionally well-insulated and offers plenty of protection against the elements. Our PODs can be constructed, delivered and erected on your site in as little as 6 weeks. Depending on your site's location. What’s included Our kitchen, bathroom vanity, and wardrobe cabinetry are constructed using standard High-Density melamine-faced chipboards supplied by Holzmobel, and fitted with the below; Kitchen Area Inbuilt Oven Inbuilt Microwave Inbuilt 2 or 4 burner gas/electric cooktop Single sink with drainer Space for fridge Ample storage Bathroom Vanity unit with Sink and Mirror Spacious show unit with glass frames European standard toilet Tiled floor current starting prices for our range of PODs POD ZERO - Kshs 2,490,000/= POD STUDIO - Kshs 3,870,000/= POD ONE - Kshs 4,550,000/= POD TWO - Kshs 7,900,000/= Please note that depending on the choice of exterior materials, internal finishes and optional extras the prices could fluctuate. Prices do not include on-site civil works like the foundation, septic tank, plumbing, electrical connection, delivery, costs for onsite erection, and county government a Done by @spinksinvest

My backyard office has been a dream for so long. 🥹🫶 Andrew and I were considering moving into a bigger home since we both work from home, but when we saw the 8% interest rates (ours is current ~3%), we said NOPE. WE STAYIN. So we decided to spend the money to get this built. Long story short, our contractors were a joke, and we ended up completing the buildout ourselves. 😅 Lesson learned: Don’t hire a contract on FB marketplace. (I realize how stupid this sounds now, don’t worry.) Can we just give her a moment? 🥹🌸🪻 Look at those hydrangeas! #tinyhouse #backyardoffice #tinyhousedesign #backyardofficespace
