Ash-choked streets. Broken cobbles. The perfect base for Spearhead: City of Ash.
This one is really simple:
Light grey primer
Black wash
Add patches of fine grit pale texture paint
Wash with light grey paint
Drybrush dark ivory
Very light drybrush white
Black rim
You end up with a base that looks like it has been buried in soot, dust and fallen masonry. Perfect for ruined streets, abandoned cities and armies marching through the wreckage of Embergard.
Cobble texture bases are available from loads of great places. I cannot remember where I picked these up, but there are loads of companies doing really nice base toppers if you want to make your force look extra cinematic. (Like @make_it_epic)
