What's inside our willow urn? Will the ashes get through the lining because it's not a solid side? Can I see through the wicker urn into the ashes bag? These are some pretty common questions we get asked about our handwoven urns. The weave is very tight using fine willow, and we are one of the only willow urn producers in the UK to line them twice - with thick cotton hand stitched which covers the inside with pleats, and then a thick cotton drawstring bag too! Whether storing the ashes casket or burying it, your persons ashes are very secure. FINALLY! After months of harvesting willow out in the field, it's time to start bringing it in to store. . This is all of the basketry willow that I've grown this year, and it pretty much fills the shed. I was hoping to build a large barn for it all this winter, but time and money have put that plan on pause. I'm definitely going to need more space next year though as the harvest increases. .
