Caroline never gave up on the play 😤
Caroline never gave up on the play 😤
She is a problem... . For the defense 💪 . On ball picks, and off ball picks to a quick cut to cage has been something we have been working on for a minute. . And to see it in a game setting is what its all about. . This 4th grader exemplifies what training does. Most HS kids cant pick and cut like this lol . So, if you want to be a threat without the ball like Fox, start training. She is proof it works. . Now shout her out in the comments! . #lacrosse #girlslacrosse #womenslacrosse #laxislife #trainhard

Contrary to many players' beliefs, it is the BALL carrier's job to use the pick.. not the picker's job to set up the ball carrier 👏 📌 Before reading on, follow @laxinthe305 for more women's lacrosse breakdowns from a DI collegiate player, coach and Hall of Famer 👊 ➡️ Watch and see how much differently the defense has to react when you come off the pick the second way. 🔸Keep in mind there is a lot of nuance to the 2 man game. There are so many different ways you can play it, and different options off of it, which is why so many teams will run this set up with no real clear direction to the attackers.. they just let the players use their creativity to take advantage of whatever the defense is giving them ⤵️ This said, sometimes players deliberately leave space (like in the first part) if they think they can beat their defender straight up not using the pick at all. So it's possible that's what the first girl was attempting. ❇️ But regardless, I found this to be a great way to show how you can use a pick MOST effectively if the goal is to get your defender caught up in it. 🔆 Share this + follow @laxinthe305 for more women's lacrosse drills, ideas, and insight from a former DI collegiate player, coach and Hall of Famer 👊 #girlslacrosse #lacrosselife #lacrossegirls #womenslacrosse

Most girls aren’t lacking talent… they’re lacking the RIGHT reps. They’re doing drills that look good on Instagram… but don’t show up in games. That’s why the dodge doesn’t work. That’s why there’s no separation. That’s why the first step isn’t explosive. College athletes don’t just “work hard”… they work on the right things. That’s the difference in my training. I don’t just give random drills. I teach: → how to develop an elite first step → how to create real separation off the dodge → how to train movements that actually transfer to game speed So when she steps on the field: ✔️ she’s not thinking ✔️ she’s not hesitating ✔️ she’s attacking and winning her 1v1s Parents, if your daughter is training but it’s not translating in games, it’s not effort… it’s direction. Comment DRILLS if you want the exact footwork, dodges, and training I use to help athletes play like college players and get to the next level. 💯 #girlslacrosse #lacrossetraining #lacrossemom #lacrossegirls #womenslacrosse
