Meet the heroic #PrideOfBritain Winner Lucy Montgomery Who Saved Her Father & Boy From Drowning! đŸ«¶ When fourteen-year-old Lucy was on holiday in France, a terrifying situation unfolded. While paddle-boarding with Mathieu, the son of a family friend, she spotted him drifting into deeper waters. Realising it was a life or death situation, Lucy swam out and dragged him to the bank. But then the current swept her father, Graham, into deeper water. She raced to him, told him to float on his back, and pulled him to safety with help from Mathieu’s father Pascal. A truly extraordinary young lady! 👏 @pandocruises @dailymirror
“It Would Have Been A Different Story If Ben Didn’t Do What He Did.” 👏 At only 8 years of age, Ben Hedger showed unbelievable courage in 2018 while in the car with his mum Lauren. On the drive home from school, Lauren suffered a freak seizure while driving at 65mph on a busy dual carriageway in Essex, losing control of the car. Ben quickly grabbed the wheel and managed to steer the car safely across two lanes onto a grass verge, and turned on the hazard lights before it eventually came to a stop. His quick thinking and bravery ensured him nor his mum suffered from any injuries. In 2019, Ben received the #PrideOfBritain Child of Courage Award for his heroics, presented by Dua Lipa. @pandocruises @dailymirror
Neighbour Of The Year! 🌟 Back in 2007, Anne Glover’s estate in Leicester was rife with crime, but she refused to ignore the graffiti on the walls and syringes on the stairways. Instead, this one-woman powerhouse took on the troublemakers and their legacy of misery. She singlehandedly transformed the 5000-home Braunstone Estate from a dangerous no-go zone into an area with a two-year waiting list of over 1,000 families. Anne received a #PrideOfBritain Award for her work, presented by the late Dame Barbara Windsor, where she vowed to continue improving communities for as long as possible. @pandocruises @dailymirror

When faced with a medical emergency, many people would freeze or panic, especially a child. But four year old Suzie McCash remained calm and took charge in saving her mum Rowena’s life. Suzie called 999 after her mum suddenly collapsed at home after an allergic reaction and described the situation to call operator Adam Hall, who then guided paramedics to the family home in Tynemouth. In 2017, Suzie won the Child of Courage #PrideOfBritain Award for her quick thinking and bravery. @pandocruises @dailymirror

“A great win for Kerry and a great win for Ireland.” Taoiseach Micheál Martin has congratulated Killarney’s Jessie Buckley and Dubliner Richard Baneham on their victories at last night’s Academy Awards. More at the link in bio.
This was me at 17. My first evening on the @mcguireprogrammeireland In the first clip, I walk out because I can’t say my own name. The fear and embarrassment felt unbearable. In the second, I tried again. Still stammering. Still barely audible. But I finished it. I don’t recognise this girl anymore — but I respect her. I don’t feel sad watching her. I feel proud. She fought harder than anyone knew. And she never gave up on finding her voice.
Such A Special Boy! 💜 Jacob Newson was just seven years old when his mother Andrea tragically died from cancer. Since then, he and his father Andrew have completed several fundraising expeditions both in the UK and abroad, raising over £160,000 for St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds, which cared for his mother, and the RAF Benevolent Fund, which provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families. Nicknamed “Jacob the Pilot” for his love of planes and flying, the youngster’s extraordinary efforts were recognised with the @gmb #PrideOfBritain Young Fundraiser of the Year award! 🏆 @pandocruises @dailymirror
