It finally happened… the first bearded iris of the season has made her debut 💜✨
And if you know, you know… this is the moment the garden officially says, “spring has arrived.” After weeks of watching those green shoots stretch and those buds slowly swell, we’re finally getting the show. And she did not disappoint.
There’s just something about bearded irises… dramatic, elegant, a little extra… honestly, same 😂

My Iris love the backyard at my house. I went down a rabbit hole today in understanding the direction our house actually faces 😂.
Turns out our backyard is southeast-facing—which means it gets that early morning sun first… and wow does it show.
My irises are thriving back there, while the front yard is still taking its time.
Same plants, same care—just completely different timing depending on the light.
It’s wild how something as simple as direction can change everything 🌱
