🐾💔#pet #animalovers #pasion

Here’s a quick sample of our rehearsal the day before the show (July 30) which happened yesterday, July 31.
It’s a tune of mine entitled “Cut”.
Mistakes and all but hey, that’s what rehearsals are for!
Grateful for the young musicians playing their hearts out and bringing their unique personalities and ideas to the project! These big band gatherings are absolute community building processes and are such an amazing to learn about one another.
Thank you Anders, Winnie, Niclas, all that made the Odense Jazz Festival (Denmark) come together! Amazing!!! ❤️ 💯

We broke ground at Timbale Terrace, honoring East Harlem's musical legacy with Mayor Mamdani, and starting a new and exciting chapter for Belongó.
We're eagerly awaiting the day we can welcome you through the doors of Casa Belongó! In the meantime, enjoy these highlights from the day.

Thank you for joining us at the first-ever Belongó gala, honoring David Amram, David Pérez, Michelle Cruz, and the spirit of Afro Latin Jazz that continues to unite and inspire us. We hope you enjoyed the unforgettable night of music, community, and celebration.
We are also grateful for New York City Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo's presence; her stewardship has been outstanding.
Because of your support, we are one step closer to building a space where artists and communities can belong, and where the music never stops.
We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor again soon.
With deep gratitude,
The Belongó Team
