What’s something no one tells you about college?
You're a second semester senior and just realized you're graduating soon. 😢
When I first got here, I was honestly a little scared of the change. But because of the community at the University of West Georgia, I was able to find myself, chase my dreams, and grow into something bigger than I ever expected. Along the way, I met some of my best friends who have been by my side through it all. I’m so thankful for this school and all the opportunities it’s given me.
Go West… and go find your people! 💙🐺
Most families don’t realize this until it’s too late:
The school you choose shapes your friends, your opportunities, your confidence, and your future.
This decision is too big to base on a 90-minute scripted tour and a campus brochure.
You deserve to see what life there is actually like — unfiltered, unscripted, and honest.
That’s why we exist.

First day of spring = perfect weather, perfect vibes ☀️💐
We are entering college visit season. Seniors are checking out schools they’ve been admitted to with a new perspective, and juniors are stepping onto campuses they hope might be in their future.
When it comes to college visits, you will almost always be impressed with places like Duke, Stanford, and Notre Dame. They. Are. Stunning.
But don’t skip the school in your own backyard the one that is more likely to admit you and may actually fit your family’s budget. Go see it for yourself instead of relying on what everyone else says. Walk the campus. Sit in the student union. Notice how students interact. Ask questions. Picture your life there.
Your local state school may never compete with the postcard beauty of private campuses that admit 6% of applicants. And that’s okay. A great college experience isn’t built on stone arches and perfect quads, it’s built on opportunities, friendships formed in the cramped dorms, and the places where you show up and get involved.
Some of the most successful, happiest college graduates I know didn’t attend the “most impressive” campus they toured. They attended the place where they could thrive, build relationships with professors, get internships, and grow into who they were meant to become.
Tour the dream schools. Let yourself be inspired.
But don’t skip the schools that are realistic options, they might surprise you in the best way.
Commented “TOUR” and I’ll send you my campus visit guide

The DOs and DONTs of College:
I think you should consider living on campus.
I lived in campus my freshman year and we had a blast.
When you live on campus:
You get the chance to build community;
You get to learn the campus;
You know about all of the campus events;
You don’t have to worry about parking;
Living on campus is safer than living in the apartment complex.

Sometimes high school can feel #basic. But in college you get to choose your classes based off your interests!
Today was a full circle moment for me 💙
One of my former students sent me a school poster with the sweetest note attached, and it took me right back to the first day he sat in my office—nervous, anxious, and unsure about the college process. The only thing he knew for certain was that he wanted to become a doctor.
He was going to be the first in his family to attend college in the United States, and like so many students, he didn’t know where to start. But I saw so much of myself in him, and I knew I had the opportunity to be the person I once needed during that journey.
We worked through applications, scholarships, and every step in between—and he earned a full tuition scholarship to Case Western Reserve University.
I’ve helped countless students get into hundreds of colleges—from Harvard University to LSU and everything in between—but moments like this will always mean the most.
This is the purpose behind the work I do. 💙
