I’m sick of people saying this 🥱 “Bali used to be so cheap.” Cool. So did everywhere worth going. Tulum used to be cheap. Now it’s $30 smoothies. Mykonos used to be cheap. Now you need a reservation to look at the ocean. Ibiza used to be cheap. Now a sunbed costs more than your flight. You know what else used to be cheap? Miami. Dubai. Lisbon. Barcelona. Nobody’s crying for you that you missed them. “Cheap” is just a story people tell themselves to feel better about not acting. Bali isn’t expensive yet. That’s the point. The villas are still $250k. The yields are still 15-25%. The land is still available. The infrastructure is still coming. You’re standing in 2015 Tulum complaining about the price of a coconut 🥥 Meanwhile, the people paying attention are buying. In 5 years you’ll be in someone else’s comments saying “Bali used to be so cheap.” And you’ll be right. You’re just early enough to do something about it. Or early enough to watch and do nothing. Your call.
