Romies Brasserie, Bexley ~ [ad] Save this post for your next brunch or coffee date with mum friends! @romiesbrasserie is the perfect blend of delicious food, great coffee and cool vibes. Of course there’s a great kids menu, but if you’re looking for somewhere to visit whilst the kids are at school this is the place. The food is incredible and tastes as good as it looks. The apple crumble French toast is a solid 10/10. Walk ins only, so there might be a slight wait at busy times. đŸŒ± great veggie, vegan and gluten free options đŸšŸ on site toilets â™żïž wheel chair accessible, but space is limited (due to the cafe being so popular) so I’d recommend letting them know in advance if you need extra space. There’s not much space for buggies so I’d use a carrier if possible. 🚗 pay and display car park on the same street (Bexley high street car park) 🚂 Bexley train station is a few minutes walk away 📍 DA5 1LA Follow @kentkids_daysout for more places to visit in Kent and the south east 💚

This is going to be a bit of a long one - so I'll put the short story first and then scroll down after for the extended cut; 7 years ago I'm eating in the city and I'm walking back towards Central station on the Broadway side to that odd Ampitheatre area across from the major bus interchange and out of Betty's comes a young Ali because he's recognised me. Stops and talks to me. Can't remember if he asked for a photo - but I could tell he was definitely in awe 😆 Probably about 6 months of silence I reckon, going about his business - and for the next 6.5years I've been in awe of him. It's one thing to be successful as a content creator. He was smart and doubled down on a new platform early and rode that wave to success. His social enterprise then led to his product. His burger videos were already viral and everyone wanted Chebbos Burgers so he was an OG of his time and got the flat top BBQ and a marquee on family commercial land. Chebbos Burgers were born. I was there in 2019 at the first public popup in Roselands. I was there on Canterbury road a few months later in 40degree heat again. Then he got his first trailer in Roselands. Then he got his truck in Roselands. His shop in Marrickville. The events like Easter show and Tiktok Awards followed. Now finally he's opened the doors to Bexley and store no.2. What we weren't aware he was slowly building though was this brand. This reliability. This genuineness. A safe presence and comfort. It's innately Ali. But it's in his burgers and it's in his shops too. Family friendly. Safe. Inviting. Home. Mind you he's done all this during his formative years of 18-24 where most of us are fucking up and creating battle scars that we'll either choose to recount like war heroes or bury due to remorse and guilt. Ali has always made time for me, no matter how busy he's been or how successful he's gotten - that's the real reason why I'll always visit @chebbosburgers đŸ€ Well shit - I guess that was the long version..... đŸ€· Bexley is now open! #chebbosburgers #chebbo #bexley #growth #issaceatsalot
