When I found out that thousands of Costco employees are now millionaires, I wasn't surprised. Just owning Costco stock alone has probably given them more money than their actual paychecks have, especially if they've been consistent investors in the company. Even if they didn't buy any Costco stock at all, by simply maxing out your 401(k) over several decades, you would have a tremendous amount of wealth to leave your children. Most people don't realize this. For the same reason that most people gain weight, it's not that you didn't know that going to the gym was going to make a difference. It's just that people want to lose 100 lbs. in one workout. The key to building wealth and investing is to do things slowly over a long period of time and to be very, very consistent. That's one of the values that you should give your kids if you want them to build wealth. This story is pretty inspirational and exciting because I love it when working-class people find opportunities that they create for themselves instead of waiting for rich people to suddenly become generous. #blackwealth #Cosco

How do we keep making way for more of US to build wealth 👀 I recently had the opportunity to walk the floor of the New York Stock Exchange with my good friend, @bilalslittle As we talked, I couldn’t help but think about how far we’ve come… and how important it is that we’re not the last. There was a time when spaces like this felt inaccessible to so many of us. Today, we’re not just showing up in these rooms… we’re creating opportunities, sharing knowledge, and helping others realize they belong here too. That’s what wealth-building is really about. It’s bigger than stock charts and account balances. It’s about changing what our children believe is possible. It’s about creating options where there once were limitations. It’s about making sure the next generation doesn’t have to start from scratch. Every time I step into rooms like this, I’m reminded that success isn’t just about reaching the destination. It’s about reaching back and helping someone else get there too. And that will always be the most meaningful part of the journey.
