I tried a new to me hair lightener ⬇️ I’ve been a loyal user of Blondme Bond Enforcing Lightener for about 4 years because it lifts my level 4 brown hair to platinum with 7 volume developer. I prefer to lighten my hair low and slow as we hair stylists say. Meaning I’d rather use a low (less aggressive) volume developer and process longer instead of using a higher (more aggressive) vol developer and process quicker. I’ve learned that I experience less damage/breakage this way, because if I do accidentally overlap it’s not as damaging. I’ve been seeing this @blondesolutions Pigmented Lightener on social media so I decided to give it a try & I must say I like it a lot. Pros & Cons Pros: •Pigmented to cancel warmth while lifting •Lifted my hair to desired level with 10 vol •Contains Plant Collagen •Smells nice •Minimal swelling •Very visible on blonde hair, decreasing chance of overlap Cons: •Does not contain hair bonding technology so I had to add @sallybeauty Bond Bar Bonding Solution •10 vol is lowest developer although adding the Bonding Solution diluted the strength a bit •Dries out quickly although I think it’s only the outer layer that dried out because it didn’t affect the lift. You can also cover with plastic wrap as you go to avoid dryness I had to process 55 minutes to get to my desired level which is the same amount of time I processed with Blondme.
