Y’all have been asking questions about our fall foliage train ride, so here are the answers — including how to book when TikTok says SOLD OUT! 1. BATHROOMS? YES! There are 12 bathrooms on board, so you don’t have to wait until the train stops! 2. SNACKS? YES! There’s a General Store ON the train selling drinks, snacks and souvenirs. 3. LUNCH? You can pre-order box lunches. We tried the turkey and chicken salad sandwiches. They were fine, BUT here’s my recommendation: SKIP THE BOX LUNCH AND EAT AT THE RUM CAKE LADY! Authentic Cuban food, delicious Cuban sandwiches and some of the BEST rum cakes in Georgia! 📍 The Rum Cake Lady Cuban Café 10 Blue Ridge Dr., McCaysville, GA 4. OPEN-AIR OR ENCLOSED? OPEN-AIR for me! That mountain breeze is EVERYTHING. Just know there’s no AC, so bring a portable fan when it’s warm. 5. ACCESSIBLE? YES! My mom has mobility issues, and the staff helped her on and off using a hydraulic lift in the accessible car. Contact the railway ahead of time about your specific needs. 6. TIKTOK SAYS SOLD OUT? Check the official railway website!
