Kanpur-based xTerra Robotics, incubated at IIT Kanpur, has delivered two of its indigenously developed Svan M2 Quadruped Robots to IIT Bombay for research in AI and legged locomotion. Featuring custom actuators and a carbon-fiber body, the "Made in India" robot is designed for hazardous, uneven terrain navigation. The robots are intended for research in autonomous navigation, AI, and field robotics. Svan M2 is a four-legged robot designed for traversing stairs, gaps, and uneven outdoor environments. Developed by xTerra Robotics on the IIT Kanpur campus, with support from DRDO.
