Excruciating heel pain, first thing in the morning or after a long day on your feet? Welcome to the world of Plantar Fasciitis. My treatment plan is focused on supporting the ligament with better shoes. These are some of my go-to supportive shoes for reducing strain on your heel: house slippers/sandals and athletic shoes. ✔️ Cushioned running shoes with shock absorption ✔️ A higher heel-to-toe drop to reduce fatigue ✔️ Recovery sandals and cushioned slippers for around the house The wrong shoes keep the inflammation cycle going. The right shoes help calm it down. If you’re dealing with morning heel pain or pain after workouts — this is your sign to upgrade your footwear. Save this for your next shoe purchase! #plantarfasciitis #podiatrist #foothealth #footdoctor #podiatristapproved

Is there a right shoe for right now? We can almost always find shoes that help relieve pain by looking at several shoe elements to create a prescription. #footpain #footpainrelief #bestshoes #shoeprescription
I used to think running shoes were the answer to everything. Long shifts? Running shoes. Errands? Running shoes. Walking all day? Running shoes. But here’s the thing — running shoes are built for forward motion. Not for standing on hard floors for 8–12 hours straight. Your heel absorbs every step. Your arch takes the strain. And by hour 4, your feet are begging you to sit down. There’s a shoe actually built for what your day looks like. Part 2 is coming — follow so you don’t miss it. #footpain #nursesoftiktok #standingallday #comfortshoes #archsupport plantarfasciitis
Burning pain in the ball of your foot? Tingling into the toes? 👣 If you’ve got Morton’s neuroma, your shoes might be the problem. Here are the 3 things I look for clinically when choosing the right shoe: 1️⃣ Proper width No squeezing from either side. Compression across the forefoot irritates the nerve even more. Go wide enough so your toes can relax. 2️⃣ A small heel to toe drop Zero drop sounds “natural” but it increases forefoot load. A 5 to 8 mm drop can offload the irritated area and reduce pressure with every step. 3️⃣ A forefoot rocker This helps roll you forward so your toes don’t have to bend as much. Less strain. Less compression. Less irritation. For this reason, I often recommend the HOKA Gaviota, Arahi, or Bondi, ideally in a 2E or 4E width. You get the space, the cushioning, and the rocker all in one 👌 If you’re constantly padding your shoes or avoiding long walks because of forefoot pain, it might be time to change what’s on your feet.

What do you think? Young, fit runner experiencing plantar fasciitis despite good strengthening, night splints, orthotics, and even steroid injections. Lack of big toe function for propulsion at toe off, midfoot runner, low knee swing and both pelvis drop during running, supinating foot strike and tight Achilles. His trainer collection consists of Alphaflys, very worn out Glycerins, On and brand new Nike. Do you think these could make his foot pain worse? Let me know what you think before I reveal my results! #chelmsfordandbraintreefootcare #runningpod #footwearforrunners
For a long time, Brooks was the easy answer when patients asked for a supportive running or walking shoe. But over the past few years, On Cloud has started to gain a lot more attraction and the newer models have made some improvements that many patients are actually doing well in. Different shoes work better for different feet, activity levels, and conditions like plantar fasciitis or heel pain. Wha feels great for one person might not work for someone else. The most important thing is finding a shoe that gives your foot the support, stability, and comfort it actually needs. So now we have to ask… which one are you choosing? 👀👇 And when you’re ready, head to the link in our bio to book an appointment! #neuhausfootandankle #foothealth #brooks #onclouds
Not sure if your shoes are helping your feet… or hurting them? 👟 One of Dr. Neuhaus’ patients recently brought six different pairs of shoes to her appointment and asked him to evaluate each one to see if they could be contributing to her foot pain.
