SAVE THIS‼️ Parents… this one matters 🤍 If your child has ever said they want to model, please don’t rush into an agency. That’s where most people go wrong. Confidence, simple photos, and the right foundation come FIRST. I made this to help families do this the right way and protect their kids in the process ✨ If this could help someone you know, send it to them 💛 #childmodeling #modelingtips #christianmodels #parentsupport #modelcoach
What’s the best age to start kids modeling? Here’s the truth. A lot of my friends want to start now at 12 or 13, and honestly, it’s too late. Some of them are even taller than me and have already grown out of kid sample sizes. The opportunities in kids modeling shrink drastically once you hit certain sizes. On the other hand, starting as a baby or toddler is too early. You’re limited to a couple of hours on set by law, you won’t remember the experience, and it’s more for your parents than for you. The hassle usually isn’t worth it. The sweet spot? 5-6 years old. This is when I started. You’re old enough to follow directions, stay focused for a few hours, and build real experience. You’re small enough to fit sample sizes for years. And you’re at the perfect age to grow with the industry before transitioning to teen modeling later. If you’re thinking about getting into kids modeling, 5-6 is the ideal starting point. Hope that helps!
Social media makes kids modeling look like it happens overnight. One show, one photoshoot, and suddenly everything takes off. But what you don’t see is the alignment behind it. The right opportunities, the right positioning, and knowing what actually moves things forward. It’s not about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things in the right order. If you’re trying to understand how to get your child started in modeling the right way, comment CASTING and we’ll send it over. #momlife #raisingconfidentkids #parentingtips #kidsmodeling #modelparent

Start your child’s modeling journey the right way 👇 1. Don’t rush into agencies You don’t need a contract on day one. Start with experience first. 2. Get natural photos (snaps) No heavy makeup, no complicated looks - simple, clean, real. 3. Build confidence, not just a portfolio Modeling is 80% confidence. Work on how your child feels, not just how they look. 4. Give them real experience Runway shows, backstage, cameras - this is where growth happens fast. 5. Think long-term Modeling is not about one show. It’s about growth, skills, and personality. ✨ The right start = strong future Your child can start their modeling journey at Young Fashion Show - apply now link in bio✨
1️⃣ Looks Aren’t Everything - a pretty face alone won’t make a successful model. Emotional maturity, focus, and the ability to handle pressure matter just as much, if not more 2️⃣ Not Every Opportunity Is Safe - not all agencies or jobs are legit. Scams, fake offers, and exploitation are real-know the red flags before saying yes! ⚠️ 3️⃣ It’s Not All Glam & Fun - most parents are shocked when they see the behind-the-scenes reality: early mornings, long hours, constant practice, and learning to handle criticism. Modeling can be exciting, but it’s tough work that tests patience, resilience, and focus✨ But the effort is truly worth it! 💫 Want your child to take their first steps in a modeling career? Join the Young Fashion Show and start their professional journey in modeling today! 🌟

A lot of parents start with the same small thought. I think my child would enjoy modeling. What most families do not realize is how quickly things can grow once a child is in the right environment. Stages, creative events, photoshoots, and experiences that help them build confidence and presence. Sometimes the biggest shift is simply understanding how the industry actually works and helping your child feel comfortable in those spaces. If you want to help your child walk into those opportunities feeling prepared, comment CASTING and I will send you the casting prep guide. #kidsmodeling #modelparent #modelingtips #fashioncasting #runwaykids kidsfashion
The goal isn’t to say yes to everything. It’s to build a portfolio with brands that matter, work with teams that respect you, and take jobs that move your career forward. This is one of the biggest reasons to have an agency—they help you pick the right bookings and protect you from bad contracts. Fun fact: My brother got a booking for a major brand and we declined it because they wanted the rights to recreate his face and body digitally with AI. Not worth it. Quality over quantity. Always. My mom taught me that early. And it’s the reason I’m still here after 7 years—choosing the right opportunities instead of chasing every audition. What’s something you learned to be selective about?
Great agencies don’t chase, they attract. What kind of agency do you want your child model signed with? #modelmother
Hey! Thanks for joining and welcome if you’re new here. I’ve gained 10,000 new followers over the past 30 days and get tons of questions about how to get started in modeling. So here are my top tips: 1️⃣ Age matters in kid modeling If you’re 11-12, you might be late to the kid modeling game depending on your size. Most brands use smaller kids for samples. But don’t give up—when you’re older, you transition to teen and adult modeling where opportunities open back up. 2️⃣ Only submit to professional agencies Real agencies never ask for money upfront. Ever. If someone wants payment for representation, it’s a scam. Walk away immediately. 3️⃣ Skip professional headshots at first Start with clean digitals taken on your phone. Natural lighting, simple background, no makeup. Agencies want to see the real you before investing in professional shots. 4️⃣ Live near a major city LA, NYC, Chicago, Miami—most jobs require local talent. If you’re not near a big market, your opportunities will be extremely limited. 5️⃣ Get a ring light Almost all castings happen from home now. Good lighting is non-negotiable. A ring light lets you shoot quality self-tapes even at night. 6️⃣ Your parent does most of the work They communicate with agents, coordinate schedules, and drive to any in-person castings. If your parent isn’t fully committed, this won’t work. 7️⃣ Rejection is part of the process—don’t give up You’ll audition for way more jobs than you book. That’s completely normal. Rejection isn’t personal—it’s about timing, look, and fit. The kids who succeed are the ones who keep showing up even after hearing no 20 times in a row. Stay consistent and your yes will come. 8️⃣ Professionalism beats talent The easiest kid to work with gets rebooked. Show up on time, follow directions fast, stay positive all day, and never complain. 9️⃣ Update your portfolio constantly You grow fast at this age. Outdated photos kill your chances. Agencies need current digitals every few months. 🔟 It’s a business, not a hobby Treat it seriously or don’t start. Half-committed doesn’t work in this industry. What other questions do you have about getting started?
