Does anyone actually go to their class reunions anymore? I understand if people back in the 1970s or 80s go to their reunions but nowadays you can keep up with everyone on social media so what is the point of going to a class reunion?

The holidays are here. If we’re blessed it’s a time to be surrounded by the people we love. It’s also a time to remember those no longer with us. My dear friend Jerry has been on my mind a lot these days. In fact, 3 years ago today…I did a story about a dance party Jerry hosted every Friday at Quality Life Adult Day Center. Today…I returned to the same center now named in Jerry’s memory. They were hosting a graduation & class reunion for their clients and I got to do a story about it. It’s still hard to walk through the doors there and not see my friend…but I saw him in the smile of his sister who was there and also in the hugs and warmth of so many of the clients who have become like family over the years…all thanks to Jerry. He’s truly missed by so many but his impact is still felt in the city he loved so much.

Thank you Dayton, friends and family this was an awesome trip but its time to head back to my Wife and Macy… Anyone who has a class reunion in the future, especially if you live in the city thats hosting it you need to go.. No one is tripping on what you have or dont have, how you look, what your wearing, how much weight you have gained or lost.. Friends are friends and some of us just want to see your face and not guess if you’re still alive.. It was my 35th and unfortunately I wont see some people for the 40th, 45th etc.., I guess I saw the people who wanted to be seen and loved on because we had a ball.. No shots thrown, no judgement but a little disappointed but still love you all my RAMS. Family.. To the ones we lost or going through something Im here for you because Im still just V from Trotwood..
