🎬 The Empire Invades Cloud City Another great short from @star_wars_tales_untold I always loved the dreaminess of Cloud City, and I think the decision of the film-maker to focus on such a mundane moment, a casual chit chat in a cafe, nicely captures another unseen corner of life in the Star Wars universe. The characters blissfully unaware of the chaos about to take place once the Empire arrives is a great bit of scene setting. Yes, the AI lip synch is drifting here, but the gentle back and forth of facial expressions of Lando, his friend and the couple works nicely to give a feel of what everyday life might be like. How much is under the direction of the film-maker as prompt engineer? How much is down to preparatory artwork to direct the AI? Hard to say, but I know that Tales Untold seem to consistently produce some of the more interesting AI films out there, so there must be a formula wokring that they understand and work with intelligently.
