What if your child had a phone… but it did not live in their bedroom 🏠
Some parents are choosing a simple idea called the kitchen phone. Extra phones stay in shared spaces like the kitchen or living room. Kids can take them to sports, activities, or outings, but at home they stay where everyone can see them 👀
Your child can still call friends. Friends can still reach them. Nothing is taken away. But privacy that leads to secrecy is reduced.
This is not about control. It is about protection ❤️
Late night scrolling, hidden conversations, and unsafe online situations often happen when devices disappear behind closed doors.
Keeping phones and computers in shared spaces helps parents stay connected without constant surveillance.
Small boundaries can create safer childhoods.

On my next flight - but first an iced coffee!☺️
I like this coffee shop. A little bit of peace found inside a busy airport.

The client wanted a home that exuded a serene vibe with warm engaging spaces, but one which also had its share of quirky elements. The lounge area between master and son’s bedroom is the client’s den. We imagined the space a little differently from the rest of the house. All the furniture was custom-made by us to reflect the lifestyle and personality of the homeowners. The house unfolds in such a way that different zones are visually connected yet maintain the requisite privacy.
